HEALTH STAFF AND THE NDIS

Health Staff Australia proudly identifies as an NDIS Provider, specialising in delivering essential supports to individuals with disabilities.  As a dedicated NDIS Provider, we adhere to the guidelines outlined in the NDIS Guide, showcasing the diverse ways in which we can assist and enhance the well-being of participants. With a commitment to excellence, we strive to contribute positively to the lives of those we serve, ensuring that each individual receives the tailored support they require to lead fulfilling and empowered lives within

the NDIS framework.

Every NDIS-registered provider, whether Certified or Verified, is required to undergo audits every three years for Certificate of Registration renewal. Audits assess adherence to NDIS Practice Standards, staff compliance with the NDIS Code of Conduct, the presence of a Complaints Management & Resolution system, an Incident Management system, NDIS Worker Screening, appropriate Key Personnel, and notification of any changes to company structure or services offered.

WHAT IS SIL?

Supported Independent Living (SIL) is a form of paid assistance aimed at fostering independence by providing support with daily tasks and skill development. This includes help with personal care and meal preparation, all taking place in your home. SIL is available for those living with others or on their own, though alternative Personal Care Supports may be more suitable for some.

It's essential to note that SIL funding does not cover rent or daily expenses. Best suited for those with high support needs, SIL is included in the NDIS plan for individuals requiring significant assistance to live independently, with funding determined based on the level of support needed in their chosen housing option.
